My favorite turning. I found this Black Tupelo burl near Big Flat Arkansas and it seemed to call my name. My Tree Radar went off to the highest scale. I bought it from Mr. Balentine for $50 because "it's hollow". He drug it to the road with his tractor and and I busted it open. I offered him $200 and he laughed.."I got $50 for a knot off a tree, stupid city folk". "Wait till they hear it at the barber shop!"
16" tall with a diameter of 20" to a thickness of 3/4"

This truly a giant piece of an ancient tree.
